Prospectus
  • Eligibility for Application
  1.  
    1. The applicant should have passed the MBBS Degree examination and completed one year CRRI programme from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India.
    2. The Applicant should come in the rank list of CET-NBE
    3. The Applicant should have Medical Council registration.
  • How to Apply

Application should be made in the prescribed form, which can be had from the office of “The Superintendent, Mental Health Centre, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 005” on payment of Rs.500/- towards its price.  Those who wish to get the application form by post should send Rs.550/- by Demand Draft, drawn in favour of “The Superintendent, Mental Health Centre, Thiruvananthapuram” payable at “Thiruvananthapuram”.  The application can be downloaded from the following websites also www.arogyakeralam.gov.in, www.ksmha.org.         

          The duly filled application form, along with the Cash Receipt in original towards price of the application form / DD, and self attested true copies of the following documents, should reach the Superintendent, Mental Health Centre, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 005, Phone : 0471 – 2433868 on or before 15th January 2010.

SSLC or equivalent (Relevant page to prove date of birth and nativity)

MBBS pass certificate

CRRI certificate

MBBS mark list (I, II and Final MBBS)

Medical council registration certificate

Relevant document for proof of inclusion in CET NBE merit list

Experience certificate 

 Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.

  • Fees

All fees will be as per the latest DNB rules         

  • Selection of candidates
  1.  
    1. Two seats are for the candidates from the merit list of CET – NBE (90% marks for selection in the merit list and 10% marks for the aptitude test to be conducted by the institution) or as per the latest DNB rules.
    2. Additionally an equal number of candidate (s) holding Postgraduate Diploma in Psychiatry in this institution may enroll as per DNB rules.  The number of years after passing DPM will be the criteria for selection.  If a tie occurs thereafter seniority in Health Services will be given priority.

Selected candidates will have to join the course on the prescribed date by producing all the requisite documents in original and paying the prescribed fees; failing which they will forfeit their seats, and seats thus falling vacant will be filled up by candidates in the waiting list.

  • Stipend

A monthly stipend will be paid as per latest DNB rules.

  • General rules

This course will be a full time residential course.  No private practice is allowed.  The admitted candidates should abide by the general rules & regulations of the Institution.  Otherwise disciplinary action may be initiated, including termination of the course
